PRN26142 2-28 Shore Road, Belfast - Works Contract

Choice is seeking to identify a Supplier Team (Supplier, Subcontractors and associated supply chain) that together will have all the right skills and are considered most capable of working in partnership, to identify the optimal solution and of delivering it as efficiently and safely as possible.

The Supplier Team will be required to support Choice, as Client, in the development of performance indicators and in the delivery of best practice. Regular performance assessments will be required to ensure that the Supplier Team is achieving required standards and delivering continuous improvement.

The contract is a ‘Develop and Construct’ NEC4 Engineering and Construction Option A: Priced with Activity Schedule contract.

The contract will cover the completion of RIBA Stage 4 (Technical Design) and RIBA Stage 5 (Construction), to achieve RIBA Stages 6 (Handover) and 7 (Use), for 36 no. new-build social housing units (18 no. houses and 18 no. apartments) at 2 – 28 Shore Road, Belfast.

The scope of works includes:

• Completion of the technical design;

• Completion of the works of a mix of accommodation types;

• Completion of the associated car parking, landscaping, and site works; and

• Completion of the associated utilities, services, roads, and drainage infrastructure.

The Supplier will be required to appoint a fully integrated design team to complete the RIBA Stage 4 design, based on the Client’s Works Information. This includes coordination of all design disciplines to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
