Description

Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council (the Authorities) are undertaking a Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise to inform the future procurement of a contractor, or contractors, to deliver reactive and planned maintenance services for commercial and domestic gas appliances and associated heating systems across the Authorities' operational and residential portfolios.

The future contract is expected to include:

• Planned servicing and maintenance of gas appliances.

• Reactive repairs and breakdown response.

• Emergency call-out services operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

• Gas safety inspections and certification.

• Boiler replacements and upgrades.

• Associated heating, hot water and mechanical services.

• Compliance monitoring, reporting and asset management. The Authorities wish to engage with the market to better understand supplier capability, capacity, technological solutions, contract structures and innovations that may improve service delivery, resident experience, compliance and value for money.

The PME is intended to support the development of a future procurement strategy under the Procurement Act 2023 and ensure any future tender is proportionate, commercially attractive and accessible to SMEs as well as larger national providers.
