Description

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (DMBC) is seeking a suitably experienced contractor for the provision of hired plant and equipment to support Council operations, primarily within Highways Maintenance, Street Scene and Green Care services.

This Contract is for the hire of plant and equipment only. No operatives are required at this time to be provided under this Contract unless specifically stated elsewhere in the tender documents.

Typical plant and equipment required includes, but is not limited to, rollers, trailers, compaction equipment, saws, generators, horticultural equipment, excavators, compressors, welfare units and associated ancillary items. Full details are set out in the Pricing Schedule.

The contract is for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 x 12 months.

The requirement is to be located within a 12km (7.45 miles) radius of the Council’s Lister Road Depot, Dudley DY2 8JW and the trade counter open as a minimum between the hours of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, only suppliers who meet this criteria should submit a bid, if a trade counter is outside of this radius the submission will be disqualified.

Deadline for submissions is Tuesday 18th August 2026 @ 13:00 hrs.
