Description
The Council engaged with specialist fine art and antiques transport companies in a two-way conversation which enabled potential bidders to make an informed bid/no bid decision and enable the Council to test the appetite and capacity in the marketplace for this commission. Part of that conversation included an exploration of experience of working on similar projects, views on the proposed approach to the transport and installation of collections back into the Town Hall for 2026. The market testing included exploring the following aspects of the transport and install project:
