Description
This project will undertake a comprehensive literature review of historical pollution in the Tees Estuary, drawing on academic journals, governmental reports and on-line records and datasets, grey literature, historical archives and expert insights. Existing contaminant data will be collated and synthesised through a meta‑analysis to assess temporal trends and ecological relevance to benthic habitats. The analysis will identify key contaminants, biological and abiotic thresholds, and associated ecological impacts.
