Provision of Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) Appraisal & Modelling Tools
Description
DfT Provision of Transport Analysis Guidance (TAG) Appraisal & Modelling Tools.
The Transport Appraisal and Strategic Modelling (TASM) division in the Department for Transport supports the decision-making process by maintaining and developing the transport modelling and appraisal evidence base. It is vital that this evidence base is continuously developed and kept up-to-date through research and engagement with stakeholders and that the tools used to implement this research are kept abreast with the developments.
The objective of this contract is to support TASM’s role by providing professional and high-quality service for the Department’s TAG software.
In addition to TAG software, the scope includes ad-hoc assistance with other tools and sub-models that aid the implementation of TAG, depending on research activities. The scope of any such additional activities will be discussed with the supplier in advance.
The requirement includes providing support to licensed users according to the Department’s needs, from 1st May 2026 for 38 months (with a possible extension of up to one year). It may also include maintaining and developing the tools further. We anticipate the handover from the existing supplier to happen in April 2026.
Full details are available within the ITT pack, accessible through the Department for Transport’s e‑sourcing platform.
