CCS080 External Mentoring Service for Children at Risk of Exploitation
Description
Derbyshire County Council is exploring the potential commissioning of an external mentoring service to support children at risk of exploitation. This soft market testing exercise aims to gather insights from providers to inform service design and delivery options. Responses will be used for market intelligence only and will not influence any future procurement decisions.
The proposed mentoring service will support children at risk of all forms of exploitation, including: Sexual exploitation; Criminal exploitation; Online exploitation; Radicalisation and extremism; Modern slavery and trafficking; Financial exploitation; and Peer-on-peer exploitation.
The service should: Build trusting relationships and provide emotional support using a trauma-informed approach; Deliver focused interventions to increase resilience and self-esteem; Support children in identifying risks and understanding healthy relationships; and Be accessible across all eight Derbyshire districts and boroughs.
