1.Introduction
Kenwyn Parish Council invites qualified contractors to submit tenders for the replacement of the existing boardwalk located at Watts Nature Reserve, School Hill, Shortlanesend, Truro. Removal of the existing structure does not form part of this tender.
The purpose of this project is to ensure a safe, durable, and accessible structure that meets current standards and enhances the surrounding environment.

• Scope: Construction and installation of new boardwalk and associated site works. Approximate length of the boardwalk is 250m

3. Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for:
3.1 Construction of New Boardwalk
• Supply and installation of all materials
• Construction of substructure, 1.2m wide decking, handrails (where the drop is more than 1m), and access points. Surface is to be anti-slip.
• Compliance with relevant building codes, accessibility standards, and environmental guidelines
3.2 Materials
• Timber: Suitably treated
• Fasteners: Corrosion resistant stainless steel
• Foundations: Concrete footings
3.3 Additional Requirements
• Site safety and public access management
• Protection of nearby vegetation and wildlife
• Final inspection and certification
4. Contractor Requirements
Tenderers must provide:
