Safe Accommodation (refuge) and Support Service for Victims/Survivors of Domestic Abuse across WNC & NNC
Description
West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) and North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) are conducting an open tendering procedure to attract providers with the necessary skills and experience to deliver safe accommodation (refuge) and support services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse, as defined by the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
The services to be delivered under contract are:
• Refuge accommodation, women's only refuge, men's only refuge, specialist drug and alcohol refuge and a specialist multi-cultural/diversity refuge across 47 units of accommodation; bed spaces.
• Therapeutic group work with adult survivors;
• Therapeutic group work with children and young people including play therapy;
• Counselling service;
• Children's and Young people's outreach support including a CHIDVA (Children's IDVA);
• Floating support/outreach, community based;
• Information and Advice - Helpline;
• Awareness raising training
• Housing IDVAs;
• Sanctuary Scheme;
• No recourse to public funds
• By and for service to supporting diverse communities including harmful practices and training.
The services will be delivered as a 3+1+1 year contract, commencing in April 2026.
